Pumpkins After Dark Brings Spooktacular to Another Level

As the sun sets on the grounds of the Country Heritage Park, the spooktacular pumpkin displays shine bright in the dark.

Waiting and ready for the guests to arrive that night. With oohs and ayahs of the artistry they see, each come lively in light.

A spooktacular event awaits called, Pumpkins After Dark.

As we entered through the gates of the Pumpkins After Dark in Milton, we were excited to see what was in store for us. As we waited to go in, we entered a tent where we saw some magnificent carved pumpkins in a glass case.  We even got a chance to get some hot chocolate that was absolutely delicious as it kept us warm that chilly night.

Now it was time to walk the magical pathway of lit pumpkin sculptures and displays!

Pumpkins After Dark Event

The event is a walk-through experience where you can go at your own pace to appreciate the art in each display. We do recommend doing this as you don’t want to miss the amazing details that each sculpture showcases.

Magic & Storybook & Jurassic, Oh My!

We loved how each section was named as it made us feel like we were travelling through different eras/worlds such as Movie Magic, Storybook Lane, Jurassic Zone and much more!

This helped divide each section beautifully as Movie Magic brought out the classic Halloween icons such as Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees and Freddy Krueger. They also had some other Halloween favorites like Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice and Gremlins. There were so many that this event pays tribute to which I loved!

To the ones that I know very well, I sang along with the theme songs such as Ghostbusters and Wizard of Oz… Like who doesn’t want to see the Wonderful Wizard of Oz?! 😉

The Storybook Lane was my absolute favorite as I love Disney and there were many stunning Disney inspired displays. It had me singing, A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes, as it truly felt magical.

It truly is a one-of-a-kind experience that we truly enjoyed! There is so much to see, and it makes a great night out with family and friends.

Pumpkins After Dark was a spooktacular event that was family friendly, and it was a great evening out! It truly sets the stage for the Autumn/Halloween season as we enjoyed each display with great delight. That says a lot from me as I don’t watch really scary movies, but I appreciated the detail and time that went into every single sculpture.

Nikki also enjoyed the event and even made friends with the Halloween character walking around who was very friendly to the kids who may have looked a little scared. That was truly appreciated by us scary cats (lol)! We can’t wait to go again next year! Just make sure to dress nice and warm as it is an outdoor event. 🙂

This event sells out every year and there is no surprise as to why! Pumpkins After Darks run from September 23 to October 30, 2022.
