A Christmas Wish that can not be purchased but can be acheived by looking within and setting your mindset to a different mode. Memories, peace, positivity, calm, hope and gratitude is not only my wish for me but for you too! ~ Momma Braga
Christmas has always been my favorite time of year! It has never been about the presents. There is this spirit around the season that I find uplifting and one that truly allows you to re-evaluate the path that you are on.
Recently, I spoke with a stranger at a line-up at a store and we started talking about Christmas. We spoke about what the season meant to us. This older gentleman was moved by my reasons for loving the season. I expressed the importance of giving, loving and appreciation of life. He felt the same way. Meeting people like this truly gives me hope that the world isn’t as lost as we may think it is.
Then, of course, it seems like social media is reading our minds as I see a post about a Holiday Wish List with the most beautiful wishes. I thought I would share it as my Christmas Wish List. They are not items you would find under the tree. 😉
Less stuff, more memories
To have less stuff but more memories means to value experiences over possessions. It means to prioritize living in the present and creating meaningful moments with others, rather than accumulating material things that may not bring lasting happiness.
Memories are more fulfilling and enriching to our lives and to our overall well-being. Creating memories will last a lifetime and stuff only last for a short period of time – usually it is easily forgotten too.
Less busy, more peace
To be less busy and more peace means to have a balance between work and rest, and to cultivate a calm and serene state of mind.
This one has been a constant struggle for me; however, recently I have learned that this is an important wish that only I can grant for myself. It means to avoid unnecessary distractions and stressors, and to focus on what is truly important and meaningful to me.
To achieve this wish, boundaries are important to put in place and to know when my limit has been reached. If some days, the limit is sooner than other days, I need to say it is ok. Tomorrow is a brand new day.
Less Stress, more positivity
We all have stress in our lives and what sets many apart is how we react to the stress. I have struggled for many and I mean many years with this. This wish is one that I am working really hard to make come true.
To be less stress and more positivity means to have a healthy and optimistic outlook on life, and to cope with challenges and difficulties in a constructive and resilient way. It means to focus on the positive aspects of yourself, others, and situations, and to express gratitude and appreciation for what you have.
It means to seek support and help when you need it, and to offer support and help when you can. Surround yourself with a positive and supportive circle, it can truly change your world.
Less chaos, more calm
Finding more balance, haramony and joy in life is on my wish list. Chaos is always around, even if it is unwanted. The way to deal with chaos is with calmness. Now the real challenge is how to find the calmness in the chaos. Seems like a million dollar question, doesn’t it?!
I believe that we need to look in within ourselves for this one. Looking for simple ways to adopt a more mindful and positive attitude towards ourselves and others might be the start to create calmness in chaos.
Less worry, more hope
Many times, I feel like my middle name should be worry as I tend to worry about every single thing. Even when things are looking great…deep down, I am listing the “what if?” My wish is to worry less and be more hopeful.
My Chrsitmas wish is to find a more positive, optimistic, and resilient ways of thinking and coping. My hope is to better myself and my overall well-being.

Less complain, more gratitude
As a mom, I often find myself complaining a lot more than I have in my whole life (honest truth). Therefore, it is my hope to complain a lot less and just be more grateful for what I am surrounded by. Therefore, I will embrace the mess because there is a home that a mess can be in. I will embrace when the work can not be done as there will be a tomorrow.
Gratitude for life and appreciating what is around is important for better well-being.

This would be my Christmas wish list that really relys on my own view and mindset. This can almost be a New Year’s Resolution as each of these points would be ones that would need to be worked on daily. It isn’t an easy one but one to try to achieve. Memories, peace, positivity, calm, hope, and gratitude is my wish for all of you too! 🙂
No matter what everyone celebrates, may it be a joyous one full of love, peace and hope.
Until next time…Happy Parenting!
