Synopsis

In this hilarious and clever follow-up to How to Give Your Cat a Bath, a boy, a dog and a know-it-all narrator are thwarted by a cat who refuses to learn a trick. The perfect read-aloud for fans of Interrupting Chicken.

Step one: Decide on a trick
Step two: Get some treats ready
Step three: Hold the treat in your hand and ask your cat to do the trick
Step four: Watch your cat do exactly what you asked him to do
Step five: Reward your cat for doing the trick

Simple, right?

This spoof on an instruction manual features an increasingly bewildered human, a nonchalant cat, a very good dog and a know-it-all narrator . . . who really doesn’t know it all. How DO you teach a cat a trick?

#MelAndNikkiReview

How to Teach Your Cat a Trick in Five Easy Steps is a hilarious children’s book that will have you and your little ones giggling throughout. The five easy steps prove to be a little more delicate than originally thought. A great story of the true nature of cats!

We admire the little boy’s dedication and determination to get Einstein (the cat) do some tricks even after many failed attempts. While poor Noodles (the dog) does each trick with ease on the sidelines.  You can’t help but giggle as the Einstein gets into mischief along the way.

For this #MelAndNikkiReview, we give this book 5 meows out of 5! We love the creativity and the dash of humor throughout. It made it such a fun read with Nikki and our Frenchie Tyson. Yes, we did include our dog who was internally cheering on Noodles. 😉 We absolutely loved this book, a must read!
