Celebrating a remarkable journey of dedication, love, and community impact.
A Moment of Unimaginable Pride
It’s not every day that a 10-year-old child receives one of the most prestigious honours in Canada—the King Charles III Coronation Medal. On March 25, 2025, words fell short for my husband and I as we tried to express the immense pride we feel for our Nikki, who now holds this distinguished award.
Typically reserved for military heroes, prominent leaders, and extraordinary adults, this medal was awarded to Nikki, making her one of the youngest among the 30,000 Canadians recognized.
Nikki being awarded with such a prestigious award at such a young age makes us beam with pride. Not only we as parents are proud of her but our family and friends around us are just as proud of her amazing accomplishments.

Recognized for Her Passionate Advocacy
Nikki’s unwavering commitment to the liver community is what brought her to this extraordinary moment. Liver Canada, an organization dedicated to advancing liver health and supporting families, saw in Nikki a determination and heart that far exceeded her years. By nominating her, they made it possible for this recognition to honour not just Nikki’s work, but also her courage and compassion.
“I feel very honoured and I can’t believe I won. This medal means so much to me because I wasn’t looking for a medal or an award. I am just happy that the fundraising I do is making a difference in the liver community. So, to get this award is so very special to me. Thank you, Liver Canada and King Charles III, for awarding me with it!” ~ Nikki
It was a lovely afternoon for Nikki as she got to talk to the great staff at Liver Canada and got to be herself with them. She even got to talk about all things Greek Mythology. The moment Nikki got to open the box with the medal, her eyes twinkled with amazement! She was shocked at how beautiful it was. It truly was a remarkable experience to witness Nikki getting the medal. One that we will never forget.

A Mother’s Heartfelt Thanks
As a mother, I can’t put into words the emotions that are overflowing in my heart. To watch my daughter accomplish something this big will forever be etched in my memory. There simply aren’t enough tissues to handle the tears of gratitude and pride.
This to me has been a full circle experience for Nikki. She got to plant her seed and watch it grow into a beautiful thing. She inspired herself to take on a noble cause to help spread awareness of Liver Disease and to have people pay attention to the G.O.A.T of all organs, the liver. In honour of this she was able to get recognition for all her amazing efforts.
I want to make a difference and that is my absolute favourite part of volunteering or fundraising. We are capable of making a difference and this experience has shown me that. ~ Nikki
A Community That Believes in Her
To everyone who has played a part in Nikki’s journey: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your encouragement, support, and belief in Nikki’s mission have been a source of strength for our family. This honour belongs not just to Nikki but to every single person who lifted her up along the way.
What started as a little fundraiser to raise $30 has grown to something that we never thought could happen.
We feel so honoured to have had our story shared on Innisfil Today by reporter Amber Green. You can read the beautiful piece here.

A Story to Inspire
Nikki’s achievement isn’t just about a medal—it’s about the impact a single young soul can make when driven by passion and supported by love. This is a story that reminds us all to believe in the extraordinary power of our children. We hope Nikki’s journey inspires you, just as it has touched our hearts.

If I could help even a little bit to bring hope to someone’s life who is suffering with liver disease then I will be one happy ten-year old! I know that Liver Canada can help me do that. ~ Nikki
Until next time…Happy Parenting!
