Julia on the Go! Swimming Into Trouble is a charming and realistic story that explores the themes of passion, perseverance, friendship, and family. Julia is a likeable and spirited protagonist who struggles with her emotions and impulses, but also shows growth and maturity throughout the book.

The author does a great job of portraying the diverse and vibrant community that Julia lives in, as well as the challenges and joys of being a second-generation Korean Canadian. The illustrations by Julie Kim are expressive which add to the appeal of the book. Swimming into Trouble is a perfect read for middle-grade readers who enjoy sports, humor, and heart. We highly recommend it!
