Rattlesnake Jake
Rattlesnake Jake has stolen your gold! Watch out for his rattle, and carefully sneak the gold back. One wrong move…and he strikes! His ominous rattle builds the suspense for the ultimate jump! If Rattlesnake Jake strikes on your turn, you must return half of your nuggets to him. The player with the most gold when the last nugget has been taken wins the game.
Requires 3 AAA batteries, not included. It is great for two players or more, ages four and up.
Contents included: 1 Rattlesnake Jake, 1 Cowboy Hat, 1 Double-Sided Fate Coin, 16 Gold Nuggets and complete instructions.
How to Play
Once you have assembled the game and inserted the batteries required, then you are ready to play!
- The youngest player goes first. Play proceeds in a clockwise direction.
- It’s time to be brave! The player must look Rattlesnake Jake right in the eyes as they steal a gold nugget and place it in front of them.
- On each turn, the player will be allowed to take their first gold nugget for free.
- If they want to try their luck, they may choose to flip the Fate Coin for a chance to grab a second gold nugget. But be careful…being too greedy can be dangerous!
- Nugget Side: The player may attempt to steal a second nugget. If they succeed, they can try their luck for a third and final nugget. Crossed nugget side: No luck! Their turn ends immediately and they must give one nugget back to Rattlesnake Jake.
- But you never know when Rattlesnake Jake will strike! If he jumps forward, that player returns half of their nuggets to Rattlesnake Jake’s pile and their turn is now over.
- Push in the head to restart Rattlesnake Jake before the next player’s turn.
- The game ends when a player successfully steals the last gold nugget from Rattlesnake Jake. Tally up your nuggets – the player with the most wins the game!

Rattlesnake Jake brought the wild wild west to family game night! It was very easy to assemble which we loved and in no time it was ready for action.
The anticipation had us all on the edge of our seats wondering when Jake will strike. This game was a lot of fun and provided hours of fun and giggles along the way. We played the game a few times on family game night and of course the winner happened to always be Nikki. I guess Jake knew that I was an easy target. 😉
